What kind of accuracy can be achieved by CNC turning parts?

The workpiece rotates and the turning tool moves in a straight line or curve in the plane.Turning is generally carried out on the lathe to process the inner and outer cylindrical surface, end face, conical surface, forming surface and thread of the workpiece.
The accuracy for CNC turning parts is generally IT8~IT7, and the surface roughness is 1.6~0.8μm.
1) Large cutting depth and large feed are adopted to improve the turning efficiency without reducing the cutting speed, but the machining accuracy can only reach IT11 and the surface roughness is Rα20~10μm.
2) High-speed and small feed and cutting depth are used for semi-finishing and finishing, with machining accuracy up to IT10~IT7 and surface roughness of Rα10~0.16μm.
3) High-speed precision CNC turning parts of nonferrous metal parts with diamond turning tools with fine grinding on high precision lathes can achieve machining accuracy of IT7~IT5 and surface roughness of Rα0.04~0.01μm. This kind of turning is called “mirror turning”.
